Mr Vang, a clerk, has just moved into the fourth floor of a block of flats – and he has already gained a reputation as something of a troublemaker. The woman, a professor’s wife, who lives just below his flat has so far only been indirectly acquainted with him in the form of stomping feet and noise lasting into the small hours. She hopes to meet him face to face soon so that she can give him a thorough talking-to – and her wish is about to come true in a quite unexpected way.

He falls asleep in an armchair, and all his prejudices manifest in a strange dream.

Noble-born Elisabeth Munk is found on Elverhøjen (Elves’ Hill) and is brought up as Agnete, a peasant girl, whom all the locals believe to be an elf-maiden.

The daughters head off to have fun with two young guys from Copenhagen who are on a road trip, and the vagabonds Pat and Patachon seize the chance to interfere for their own gain.The preserved material is the original Swedish version titled 'Landsvägsriddare', translated to 'Tyvepak' in Danish.

This is what Pat and Patachon learn in this adventure in which they rescue young girls from the white slave trade in Spain and where Patachon enters the ring as a boxer against a gigantic superman from France. The final scene features a surprise addition to the family.

Anna, the daughter of an elderly farmer, and the farmhand Hans are in love and dream of a future together. However, Anna’s younger brother witnesses one of their secret meetings and tattles to their father, who immediately breaks up the rendezvous and dismisses Hans. The farmer has other plans: he intends to rid himself of debt by marrying Anna off to a wealthy local farmer.

Joy abounds in the little workers’ home when the three daughters of the family all come home wearing an engagement ring. When the sons-in-law come to visit, one in particular stands out. The merchant Black is wealthy and wears fine clothes, but the labourer family is quite unimpressed by that.
