Dance Frenzy

Lau Lauritzen Sr., 1917, 8 min
FRAGMENT | Tønne secretly visits a posh lady for dance lessons, which his wife mistakes for infidelity. All attempts to convince his missus that the visits are just about dancing seem to fall on deaf ears. Perhaps not too strange, as it turns out that Tønne has learnt almost nothing from his lessons.

The film has Danish intertitles.

Oscar Stribolt plays the role of Tønne. Stribolt appeared in more than 130 films, which makes him one of the most active actors in Danish silent films. Stribolt’s mighty stature and good humour were made for comic roles, and during his time at Nordisk Film he often appeared in comedy films by director Lau Lauritzen Sr.
