Seine Frau, die Unbekannte

Benjamin Christensen, 1923

A young artist, Wilbur, has lost his eyesight in the war, and there is only a very faint hope of him ever being able to see again. He has never forgotten a mysterious woman whom he sheltered many years ago. With the help of a woman named Eva, Wilbur’s mother manages to find the mystery woman, but she turns out to be a most unsuitable candidate for becoming her daughter-in-law.

En Kæreste for meget

Johannes Meyer, 1924

Baron Preben is an unfortunate man – at least when it comes to the ladies. He has long waited for an opportunity to declare his true feelings for his good friend Ida. So when a romantic rival shows up during Midsummer celebrations, Preben has to propose sooner than he would like.

Das Ende vom Liede

Willy Grunwald, 1919

Many suitors woo the wealthy heiress Dora, but her heart belongs to the doctor Alberto. Shortly after their engagement, it turns out that Alberto has kept a child from a previous relationship a secret, which causes Dora – in grief and defiance – to marry Reppen, a banker who is only after her fortune. Years go by in their unhappy marriage until one day the couple’s daughter has an accident – and only one doctor can help.

Nach dem Gesetz

Willy Grunwald, 1919

The idealistic journalist Sonja Waler is making every effort to provide financial assistance for the young doctor Albert Holm’s new invention, which is predicted to be able to save thousands of lives. She comes into contact with a cynical loan shark who ends up falling victim to Sonja’s altruistic plan.

The role of Sonja Waler is played by Asta Nielsen, who's great sense of fashion clearly shows in her costumes.
