FRAGMENT | A man lies on his deathbed and shows his will to his carer. After his death, a grieving man and woman come in. The scene changes and we find ourselves on a beach in the company of two couples.

Rivalinder

A young couple appear to be perfectly happy and in love, but one day the woman discovers that her husband is having an affair. She seeks out his mistress, and the two women agree to resolve their conflict in a duel.

The music is composed and performed by Sigrid Aftret for the educational project 'Sounding Silents' – a collaboration between The Danish Film Institute, the Danish National Academy of Music and Rhythmic Music Conservatory.

FRAGMENT | The film is incomplete and there are no preserved programmes which explain the story. The fragment consists of the following scenes: Scene 1: An older and a younger man are talking in a living room. Scene 2: The young man is courting a woman and is rejected on account of another suitor.

In the Wild West, two men set out for the gold mines to seek their fortune. The men have a close friendship, but when the seductive Native American woman Minka shows up with an eerie offer, one of them suddenly faces a difficult dilemma.

A mischievous witch uses her dark magic on an innocent cyclist until he is all confused. He is forced to pedal backwards and at the same time, his bike changes shape anytime the witch wants it to.

A young nobleman arrives at Frederiksborg Castle where a mayor lives with his beautiful daughter. He immediately falls in love with the daughter, who – much to her fiancée's resentment – reciprocates his feelings. Sick with jealousy, the fiancée spies on the new lovers and plans how to get rid of his rival once and for all.

Having responded to a newspaper advertisement, a young girl sets out to take up a position as a housekeeper. Not long after arriving, it transpires that she has fallen into the clutches of the white slave trade. The house is in fact a brothel, and its lecherous clients are queuing up to get a piece of the new girl.
