Da Svigermoder kom

Ubekendt, 1918

The newly married couple Clara and Georg are enjoying a quiet afternoon at home when a telegram arrives, announcing the imminent arrival of Clara’s mother. While Clara excitedly rushes off to go shopping, Georg takes a stiff drink to fortify himself for the impending meeting with his mother-in-law. He falls asleep in an armchair, and all his prejudices manifest in a strange dream.

Den frelsende Film

Holger-Madsen, 1916

FRAGMENT | Who murdered the film star? The director is accused, the motive is jealousy, but the film is the alibi. As film director Franz declares his love for Ilse, his star actress, she bluntly rejects him. Movie star Ferdinand overhears the private exchange of words and can’t resist a few well-meaning jokes which infuriate Franz.

Prinsesse Elena

For a long time, Bouton has taken to Princess Elena who, on the other hand – and to Bouton’s great displeasure – falls in love with the prisoner of war, Captain Henri de Bersin. The love triangle drama reaches its climax when de Bersin asks the princess for help to escape and is then sentenced to death by Bouton.

Den fjerde Dame

Eduard Schnedler-Sørensen, 1914

MOST WANTED | Based on the preserved information, the film might be a forgotten queer gem: a comedy in the vein of Tootsie featuring Arne Weel in women’s clothes.

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
For his regiment’s 50th anniversary, Colonel Meyerink’s plans include an equestrian quadrille performed by teams of ladies and gentlemen. When he needs a fourth lady to make up the women’s team, Lieutenant Wolff is quick to promise that his sister, Leoni, will take part – without, however, having asked her first.
